- The region was up 198% in the number of Education degrees awarded since 1989, 147% in the number of Visual and Performing Arts degrees, and 141% in the number of biological and biomedical science degrees awarded.
- Federal Appropriations, Grants, and Contracts are up 329% from the 1989 measure.
