Greater Baltimore is one of the most highly educated regions in the country. The Baltimore Metropolitan Statistical Area has the 9th highest concentration of educated people among the 25 largest metropolitan areas in the United States in 2008. This is an increase from 2007, when Baltimore was ranked 10th with 33.3% of people holding a Bachelor's degree or better.
