In an effort to improve connectivity across the state, Maryland has began implementing the One Maryland Network, which will connect 10 localities throughout the state via a high speed fiber optic connection. The network will vastly improve the sharing of resources and knowledge across cities and counties. The system will also help security and law enforcement agencies better perform their duties.
