Carroll County's central location in the state attracts a diversity of business interests. As a part of the Baltimore metropolitan area, Carroll County enjoys strategic assets such as proximity to major transportation hubs including the Port of Baltimore and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. The Carroll County Regional Airport, a full-service airport boasting corporate hangars and a 5,100 foot runway, supports corporate and smaller commercial aircraft operations.
