Current Projects

Frederick/Monocacy MARC Station - Underused MARC parking for 320 residential units will be developed.

Laurel MARC Station - A project for the development of 3.5 acres of MARC/MTA land for 407,000 square feet of residential, retail, and commercial uses. 

Maglev - The MTA is currently studying the benefits of a 40-mile magnetic levitation transportation system between Baltimore and Washington.

Metro Center – The Metro Center at Owings Mills will be developed for mixed-use, and include a 11,000 space garage.

Odenton MARC Station - 25-acres will be developed on State and County-owned property in the vicinity of the planned Odenton Town Center.

Odenton Town Square - This public-private venture proposes a mix of uses – residential, retail and hotel at a site with close proximity to the Odenton MARC train station.  There are eight major development proposals in the immediate vicinity of Ft. Meade representing more than 17 million square feet of building potential.

The Red Line - The MTA is currently involved in a Study to determine the identify and analyze potential alternatives for a new 12-mile, east-west Bus Rapid Transit or Light Rail Transit line between Woodlawn and the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Campus.  

State Center – The State Center in Baltimore city currently prevents easy movement through downtown communities.  The redevelopment of the Center will include offices, parking, and other features that will host 3500 state employees. 

Reisterstown Plaza Metro Station - Transit-Oriented Development of 15-acre +/- site near the City/County line through the Transportation Public Private Partnership (TP3) Program`s Request for Expressions of Interest.

Rogers Avenue Metro Station - Development of north and south parking lots for 400 market rate residential units.
