Baltimore City Selected to Receive $1M from The Rockefeller Foundation

Baltimore City has been selected by the Rockefeller Opportunity Collective (ROC) to receive $1M from The Rockefeller Foundation in support of projects and programs that increase access to capital and credit among low-wage workers, as well as small businesses run by women, Black and Latinx owners. Launched by the national organization earlier this year, the goal of the ROC is to stimulate public and private sector investment aimed at promoting inclusive growth during and after the current pandemic. The ROC has committed $12M across 12 national locations to date. “Baltimore’s small businesses are truly the heart of our city. With their unwavering support through the Covid-19 pandemic, and dedication to Baltimoreans across the city, I am excited that they will have the well-deserved support of the Rockefeller Foundation Opportunity Collective,” said Baltimore City Mayor Brandon Scott.
