CoapTech Inc., UMB Spin-Out Receives $50K
CoapTech Inc., a University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) spin-out, has received $50K in funding from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Pennsylvania Pediatric Medical Device Consortium. UMB’s technology transfer arm, UM Ventures, also provided investment in the company. The Baltimore-based medical device company commercializes a system designed to provide a safer way to place feeding tubes in children and was named 2018 Maryland Incubator Company of the Year for Best Medical Device Company.
