The Digital Harbor Foundation has been Awarded a $1.5 million Grant to Expand Tech Access for Youth in Baltimore

The Digital Harbor Foundation (DHF) has been awarded a $1.5M grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) “Advancing Informal STEM Learning” program. Working in partnership with University of Maryland,Baltimore county (UMBC), the funding will expand DHF’s “Rec-to-Tech program” that improves access to technology for youth in Baltimore City by transforming recreation centers into computer science, tech and maker spaces, according to The Daily Record. This is the second grant DHF has been awarded by NSF and will include the production of a “toolkit” to help other cities build similar facilities and programs.
