EAGB Staff Tours Cecil County

The EAGB is touring the Greater Baltimore region. We recently visited Cecil County for a tour guided by the Director of the Cecil County Economic Development Office, Chris Moyer. On our tour, we had a look at the site of a new Great Wolf Lodge, slated to open in 2022. We then visited Fair Hill Equestrian Sports Venue - site of the 2020 Five-Star International Eventing Competition; Winbak Farm - the largest standard bred farm in the US; Warwick Mushroom Farm - the largest producing mushroom farm in the western hemisphere; and enjoyed lunch at the waterfront Schaefer's Canal House in Chesapeake City. Afterward, we saw the Amazon fulfillment center and Lidl distribution center in Principio Business Park. Thank you, Chris, for highlighting just a few of Cecil County’s economic development assets. There is still so much more to see and do in Cecil. Below are a few pictures from our tour.

Amazon Cecil

The Amazon fulfillment center located in Cecil’s Principio Business Park off of Route 40, has more than 1.15 million square feet of warehouse space that is stacked high with shoe boxes. If you order shoes from Amazon, they are more than likely to come from this location.
