February 2021 Industry Spotlight

Collegetown Industry Days - Spring 2021

The Collegetown Network, a local nonprofit dedicated to attracting, engaging, and retaining college students to the Region, will host their third-annual Industry Day series this spring. The series, made possible by partnerships with EAGB and MTIP, serves as a connector between local employers and college student talent.

Collectively, Baltimore Collegetown institutions enroll 160,000 students, host more than 300,000 visitors each year, and infuse $17.2B into the local economy. Industry Day events are open to all students and employers in Maryland – at no cost. Companies can find their top talent locally and students can find amazing career opportunities near where they chose to study.

Industry Days are virtual, efficient networking events where students learn about local industries and employers can showcase their companies. Attendees connect with industry leaders and like-minded students, explore internship and job opportunities, and learn from professionals who have launched their careers in the Region.

This year, Collegetown is featuring Industry Days for three strategic industries in Greater Baltimore:
(1) Biohealth - Wednesday, March 24, 4:00 - 5:30pm
  • To include biotech, life sciences, and healthcare

(2) Emerging Technologies - Wednesday, April 7, 4:00 - 5:30pm
  • To include information technology, cybersecurity, and military defense technology

(3) Sustainability - Wednesday, April 21, 4:00 - 5:30pm
  • To include agriculture, energy, and environmental organizations
