MD Department of Labor Offers Recruitment Events for Hospitality Workers
Benefitting the Region’s hospitality businesses and employees, the Maryland Department of Labor's (Labor) Division of Workforce Development is offering a series of nine virtual recruitment events, from January 27-April 22, to assist workers who have been temporarily dislocated from the hospitality industry during the COVID-19 pandemic. The virtual events will connect unemployed Marylanders with employers looking to fill positions in various industries and locations across the Region and state. In addition, Gov. Hogan has announced $130M in COVID-19 relief funding for restaurants, hotels and hospitality businesses that will be distributed through the Maryland Department of Commerce. “This funding has been a critical lifeline to many of our hospitality businesses that have been impacted by the ongoing pandemic, helping to sustain them and their employees until they are fully operational,” said Maryland Department of Commerce Secretary and EAGB Board Member Kelly M. Schulz. To learn about upcoming recruitment events, job opportunities, and employment services visit: https://www.dllr.state.md.us/employment/jobfairs.shtml.
