Port Of Baltimore Receives $1.6M Federal Grant for Cybersecurity Improvements

The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) Maryland Port Administration (MPA) has been awarded $1.6M in funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Port Security grant program to strengthen cybersecurity and access control policies and initiatives at the Port of Baltimore’s state-owned, public marine terminals. “Security is critical to the maritime industry, and the Port of Baltimore has the reputation as a safe and secure place for our workers and customers,” MDOT Secretary Greg Slater said. The Port of Baltimore is one of the top performing ports in the country, and important to the Greater Baltimore region’s economy.
