Time for EAGB Friday Fun Fact: Art and Culture

Time for EAGB’s FRIDAY FUN FACT

Enriching art and culture in the Region, the one-of-a-kind American Visionary Art Museum (AVAM) in Baltimore City has been selected as one of only five museums nationwide to exhibit three “weird works of art” selected by Last Week Tonight’s television host John Oliver. AVAM’s required special three-week mini exhibition of the national tour titled, "Last Week Tonight’s Gallery for Cultural Enrichment,” will showcase Oliver’s collection and is open at AVAM from November 1-November 22. AVAM will receive a $10K grant, with an equal amount being donated by Oliver to The Maryland Food Bank.

Art and culture play a significant role in creating the atmosphere, ambiance and energy that appeals not only to artists, but also to Greater Baltimore’s visitors, residents and the workforce our strategic growth industries attract.
