Supporting entrepreneurs! The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) launched the UMB Student Social Venture Fund dedicated to providing financial support for student ventures at UMB. The newly launched program focuses on students working on ventures that promote social and civic change. The program provides access to coursework, coaching and mentorship in business skills to help students develop long-term projects in support of social change. The fund is the first step in a five- to seven-year process of developing a program at UMB to support students’ social entrepreneurship ventures. Via The Daily Record.
